The Pretoria high court has struck off the roll an urgent application by uMkhonto weSizwe MK Party and its leader Jacob Zuma to interdict the judicial commission of inquiry into allegations of criminality, political interference and corruption in the criminal justice system.
The commission, which is chaired by retired Constitutional Court justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga, started public hearings on Wednesday 17 September.
Zuma and MK Party are challenging the legality of President Cyril Ramaphosas decision to establish the commission, place Police Minister Senzo Mchunu on leave of absence and appoint Prof Firoz Cachalia as Acting Police Minister.
