Hakim Ziyechs hopes of returning to the Moroccan national team ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations AFCON are dwindling as he was left out of Wydad ACs CAF Confederations Cup squad for this weekend.

The 32-year-old joined the Moroccan side in October after being without a club since parting ways with Al-Duhail SC of Qatar in July.
