The Ministry of Community Development and Social Services MCDSS in Zambia has launched three key digital strategic documents designed to enhance service delivery through innovation, inclusion, and resilience. The announcement was made on November 12, 2025, as part of the government's ongoing efforts to strengthen the country's digital transformation agenda.
The newly introduced frameworks include the Ministerial Digital Strategy, the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Guidelines, and the ICT Security Guidelines. Together, they aim to improve operational efficiency, ensure data protection, and enhance the Ministry's capacity to deliver social protection services more effectively.
The Ministry highlighted that the new guidelines are aligned with national policies such as the 2023 National ICT Policy, the Electronic Government Act No. 41 of 2021, and the National E-Government Plan. These frameworks collectively advance Zambia's goal of becoming a fully integrated digital economy while promoting transparency and inclusion in public service delivery.
