The Zambian Government has a lawsuit against the family of the late former Zambian President Edgar Lungu, seeking to stop his burial in South Africa today.
The government argues that no burial should take place until disputes surrounding Lungus final resting place are resolved.
Several of his family members, alongside the funeral service company holding his remains, are named in the lawsuit filed by Zambias Attorney General, Mulilo Kabesha.
Kabesha says that Lungu should be buried in Zambia with full military honours, in line with Zambian law and traditions.
He argues that state funerals are national events governed by strict protocols and that the public must take priority over personal wishes.
