South African Church Defenders SACD has welcomed the decision by Professor Musa Xulu to step down as the chairperson of the CRL Rights Commission .
Xulu made the announcement at a media conference in Boksburg east of Johannesburg, accusing the Commission of intimidation, procedural irregularities and a hidden agenda to control religion.
He claims he was not treated fairly.
