In a rain-affected contest reduced to 40 overs per team, South Africa posted 312/9, thanks to captain Laura Wolvaardt's 90 and brilliant knocks from Sune Luus 61 and Marizanne Kapp 68 off 43. Nadine de Klerk's 41 off just 16 balls guided them past the 300-mark.
Pakistan's chase was disrupted multiple times by rain, with the DLS target revised several times before being fixed at 234 in 20 overs. Kapp's new-ball spell of 3/20 crushed Pakistan's hopes early, reducing them to 35/4 inside 10 overs. They eventually were restricted to 83/7, handing South Africa a massive win, their fifth consecutive victory, which also eliminated Pakistan from semifinal contention and took South Africa to the top of the table.
South Africa skipper Laura Wolvaardt once again led from the front, smashing 90 off 82 balls to anchor her team's innings. Despite losing partner Tazmin Brits early, Wolvaardt partnered with Sune Luus for a crucial 118-run stand for the second wicket, guiding South Africa past 100 inside 15 overs.
