In a settlement agreement with the Special Investigating Unit SIU, actress and media personality Minenhle Minnie Dlamini has agreed to pay back R50,000 in National Lotteries Commission NLC grant funding because she was not lawfully entitled to the funds.
The SIU announced the deal in a statement on Monday 22 December. This is part of an investigation into the misappropriation of NLC grant funding authorised by President Cyril Ramaphosa in 2020.
Minnie Dlamini reaches repayment deal with SIUSIU said Dlamini is among beneficiaries of funds irregularly received from the Mshandukani Foundation non-profit organisation NPO, which received around R24.8 million from NLC.
