Vidarbha opener Aman Mokhade recently registered his name in the record books during the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 by equalling the world record for the quickest 1000 runs in List A cricket. Reaching the milestone in just 16 innings, Mokhade became the fastest Indian to achieve the feat.

The feat moment came in the first semi-final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy against Karnataka at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. Facing the defending champions, Mokhade produced a brilliant knock of 138 off 122 balls to guide Vidarbha to a comfortable six-wicket victory. In the process, the 24-year-old equalled former South Africa great Graeme Pollock, who also reached 1000 List A runs in 16 innings, while surpassing Indians Devdutt Padikkal and Abhinav Mukund, who took 17 innings.

After Vidarbha lost opener Atharva Taide early, he stitched crucial partnerships with Dhruv Shorey and later Ravikumar Samarth, anchoring the chase of 280. His hundred came in the 35th over, after which he shifted gears to hand his team a win.
