New Fulham signing, Emile Smith Rowe, dedicated his first Fulham goal to the clubs Nigerian duo, Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 23-year-old attacking midfielder joined the Cottagers from Arsenal for a reported club-record £34 million fee, penning a five-year deal with Marco Silvas side.
The England international came on for the second half in Fulhams friendly pre-season game against Chidera Ejukes Sevilla at the Estadio Do Algarve. He pulled one back for his side in the 52nd minute, helping them cut the deficit by a goal since Isaac Romero scored two for the Spanish side in the first half.
Speaking after the game, Smith Rowe had his interview interfered with by Bassey and Iwobi, whom he referred to as people who have made him feel comfortable since making the Arsenal switch.
Fulham kick off their Premier League campaign at Old Trafford in ten days, taking on Erik Ten Hags Manchester United.
