Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has taken a dramatic step in trying to secure a permanent move away from Napoli, Soccernet.ng reports .
Osimhen has reportedly asked club president Aurelio De Laurentiis to slash his 75 million release clause to 50 million.
This is despite the Nigerian striker having helped agree to the figure himself during a contract extension last year.
The Nigerian striker enjoyed a prolific 2024-25 campaign on loan at Galatasaray , where he scored 37 goals and provided eight assists. His standout performances fired the Turkish giants to a domestic league and cup double, reigniting interest from several top European clubs including Liverpool, Manchester United and Juventus .
Galatasaray are keen to make Osimhen's stay permanent and have already tabled a lucrative offer that includes a 15 million annual salary and a 10 million commercial deal.
