Veldt, the popular braai eatery and smokehouse in Hout Bay, has launched a crowdfunding campaign to support its staff after a fire badly damaged the restaurant on Friday afternoon, Cape town Etc reports.
In a post on the restaurant's official Instagram account, the owners expressed gratitude that everyone was safe and urged the public to focus on practical support for staff, such as donations and sharing the campaign link.
They stated that the funds raised would go toward wages, food, and immediate needs while the extent of the damage is assessed.
