The N1 Huguenot Tunnel has been closed to all vehicles following a bus fire that erupted inside the tunnel late last night, causing panic but fortunately no serious injuries, reports Cape town Etc .
The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited Sanral confirmed that the incident occurred around 11:30pm on Friday, with the fire attributed to the bus itself.
While all passengers were unharmed, one tunnel response official suffered minor smoke inhalation and has been taken to hospital for precautionary observation after receiving treatment on the scene.
