As per fresh reports in English football media, Manchester United and Tottenham are engaging in a battle to sign Brentford and Cameroon international Bryan Mbeumo ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Mbeumo was one of the most consistent performers in the Premier League last season as he contributed 20 goals and eight assists in 38 games.
Since the conclusion of the 2024/25 campaign, United expressed strong interest in the Brentford star, while Spurs entered the race to sign the Mbeumo in the last couple of weeks.
According to football journalist Duncan Castles , United recently tabled a package worth over 60 million for Mbeumo, while Brentford are asking 70 million for their star man.
However, while Mbeumo expressed his desire to join the Red Devils, Castles also reported that the 25-year-old could join Spurs following their UEFA Champions League qualification.
