The Umzimkhulu Magistrates Court in KwaZulu-Natal is expected to hear closing arguments in the bail application of a former municipal manager accused of killing former councillor and African National Congress Youth League secretary-general Sindiso Magaqa, on Friday.
The state is opposing Zweliphansi Sikhosanas bail, arguing that he would jeopardise the integrity of the case.
Sikhosana was arrested in July. This, after a convicted hitman, Sibusiso Ncengwa, implicated him and the late district mayor, Mluleki Ndobe , as the masterminds behind Magaqas murder.
