The Ministry of ICT National Guidance has signed a strategic Memorandum of Collaboration with the dfcu Foundation, marking a significant step toward expanding digital access and accelerating Uganda's digital transformation agenda. The signing took place at the National ICT Innovation Hub.
According to the Ministry, the partnership underscores a shared commitment to ensuring that learners, innovators, entrepreneurs, and communities across the country gain access to the digital tools they need to participate meaningfully in the digital economy. The initiative is aimed at bridging digital gaps and ensuring that no one is left behind as Uganda advances its digital future.
As part of the collaboration, dfcu Foundation will provide laptops pre-installed with the SOMA e-learning platform. These devices will be distributed to schools, innovation hubs, and skilling centres across Uganda, supporting e-learning, digital literacy, and digital financial management.
