Uganda has taken a major step in its digital transformation journey with the launch of the UGOV application, a new smart innovation developed by the National Information Technology Authority-Uganda NITA-U in partnership with technology firm AlphaX. The platform was officially unveiled on November 14 during a workshop attended by representatives from numerous Ministries, Departments, and Agencies MDAs.
The UGOV application aims to centralize all public services on a single digital platform, creating an integrated ecosystem that transforms the way citizens and businesses interact with government. By unifying service delivery from various MDAs, the platform seeks to eliminate fragmentation and simplify access to essential government services.
Through this initiative, Uganda expects to improve efficiency across government operations, enabling faster, more streamlined, and more transparent service delivery. UGOV is also designed to enhance accessibility, ensuring that citizens across the country-regardless of location-can easily access public services.
