United Bank for Africa UBA has appointed Loknath Mishra as the Chief Executive Officer of its United Kingdom subsidiary, UBA UK, with effect from February 2, 2026.
The appointment, according to the bank, underscores UBA Group's commitment to strengthening its international presence and consolidating its position as a key financial bridge between Africa and global markets.
In a statement, UBA said Mishra will focus on positioning UBA UK as a centre of excellence in regulatory compliance and customer service, strengthening financial resilience through diversified liquidity and income streams, and deepening the bank's leadership in trade, transaction and correspondent banking to support business flows between Africa and the rest of the world.
