Two suspected blue light robbers have been killed in a shootout with the police in Parys in the Free State . Police say that during the officers high-speed chase, the suspects vehicle lost control and crashed into a fence.

They found the deceased dressed in a police uniform. Officers recovered items, including two unlicensed firearms with ammunition, a police uniform and blue lights.

Police spokesperson Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi says, It is reported that a team of various police units in Gauteng, including, Tactical Response Team, Traffic Airwing, Detectives Tracking Team, Head Office Counter-intelligence and private security companies, operationalised intelligence information about a VW Golf 7 vehicle involved in blue light robberies.
