Transnet SOC Ltd has announced the appointment of Mohammed Abdool as chief executive of Transnet National Ports Authority TNPA with effect from Workers Day, May 1.
Making the announcement, Transnet said Abdool had more than 29 years experience in financial leadership, governance and strategic transformation within South Africas public sector.
He has served in senior roles at Transnet, including as chief financial officer of TNPA for over 16 years and, most recently, as the acting chief executive of the ports authority.
