Arsenal are ready to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palhinha in this summers transfer window.
Artetas side are keen to bolster their midfielder options following the departure of Jorginho and Thomas Partey from the club this summer.
However, according to German publication Bild, the Gunners have held 'serious negotiations' to bring Palhinha to the Emirates Stadium.
The report added that Arsenal have expressed a strong interest in Palhinha and there was 'almost a major transfer' before Bayern Munich got their 2025 Club World Cup campaign up and running.
Arsenal have been busy so far this summer transfer window, having signed the likes of Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Christian Norgaard.
