Eurostar has announced a 2 billion R40 billion investment to acquire up to 50 new double-decker trains for use on its Channel Tunnel and UK network services.
The train operator confirmed an order for 30 trains, with an option for a further 20, and will name the new fleet Eurostar Celestia .
The 200-metre trains will have around 540 seats, increasing capacity by 20 per train.
