A nine-year-old boy has reportedly taken his own life in Delft, igniting an urgent conversation around child mental health and bullying within South Africa.
According to reports from Fight Against Crime SA FACSA, emergency services responded to a distress call on The Hague Avenue in Delft this past weekend, where they found the child unresponsive.
Paramedics quickly classified the situation as code blue, but their efforts could not save the young boy, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have begun an investigation to delve into the circumstances surrounding his death.
