Tragedy Strikes As Seven-year-old Boy Dies In Train Accident In Cape Town

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding a tragic train accident that claimed the life of a seven-year-old boy in Cape Town on Tuesday afternoon, reports Cape town Etc .
The young victim was reportedly playing with friends on the railway track in Area Central, situated between Nyanga and Heideveld, when the accident occurred at about 1:50pm on Tuesday.
According to police spokesperson Malcolm Pojie, the boy was fatally wounded by a train that was in transit from Cape Town when the accident took place. Emergency medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene, prompting the Manenberg SAPS to open an inquest docket to facilitate a thorough investigation into the incident.
Pojie stated, The circumstances form part of the ongoing investigation, highlighting the need for a comprehensive understanding of how the tragedy unfolded.
The Western Cape Passenger Railway Agency of South Africa Prasa , Zinobulali Mihi also commented on the incident to the Cape Argus, indicating that their Protection Services department was alerted to the tragic event on Tuesday.
