Several areas in KwaZulu-Natal have been affected by severe thunderstorms accompanied by hail and strong winds .
The severe weather conditions follow level 5 and 4 warnings for areas in the northern, midlands and coastal parts of the province.
Authorities say traffic flow along the N3, and other affected areas has been interrupted due to heavy hail .
