Trabzonspor Eye ?12.6bn Nigerian Star As Southampton Stalls Onuachu Deal

Former Turkish Super Lig champions Trabzonspor have struggled to pry Paul Onuachu off Southampton despite negotiations which started last year, and they might now abandon his case and move for another Nigerian striker,

Onuachu has continuously been linked with Trabzonspor following his successful one-year loan at the club two years ago.

The Super Eagles star produced 17 goals and four assists in 25 appearances for the former Turkish champions. And last summer, they tried to sign him permanently.

But the Saints' asking price was significantly higher than what Trabzonspor were willing to pay.

This summer, Trabzonspor have continued in their pursuit of Onuachu, but Southampton have been playing hard ball, as it unknown if they want a higher fee or they want to keep him so he can help their push for Premier League promotion next season.
