The Ministere de lEconomie Numerique et de la Transformation Digitale of Togo has officially launched the field data collection phase of the Project Census of Socio-Economic Infrastructure PRISE II, aimed at updating the country's National Geoportal. The initiative seeks to inform focal points and decentralized service actors about their roles in collecting accurate data and highlight how this information contributes to effective public decision-making.

The campaign commenced on February 18, 2026, with an official ceremony at the Togo Digital Agency in the Autonomous District of Grand Lome DAGL. The event brought together representatives from the decentralized services of eight ministries and municipal agents from Grand Lome. The regional stage continued on February 20 in Tsevie, focusing on the Maritime region.

As part of a national rollout, the campaign will tour several cities, including Kpalime, Atakpame, Sokode, Kara, and Dapaong. Through PRISE II, Togo aims to strengthen ownership of the Geoportal and ensure the availability of reliable, up-to-date, and harmonized socio-economic data-critical for strategic planning and sustainable national development.
