The Togolese government has taken another major step in its national digital transformation agenda with the launch of a comprehensive plan to digitize administrative processes within the Ministry in charge of Energy and Mineral Resources. The initiative, led by the Ministry of Public Service Efficiency and Digital Transformation, aims to modernize public administration and improve service delivery through technology.

The official kick-off meeting for the project took place on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, marking the start of a four-week program to fully digitize the internal and external procedures of the delegated ministry. The session was chaired by Robert Koffi Messan Eklo, Minister Delegate to the Ministry of Economy in charge of Energy and Mineral Resources, alongside Cina Lawson, Minister of Public Service Efficiency and Digital Transformation.

This pilot project represents the first phase of a broader government effort to digitize all departments and streamline administrative processes across the public sector. The initiative is expected to enhance transparency, reduce bureaucracy, and accelerate the efficiency of public service delivery.
