The Tshwane Metro Police Department TMPD in Gauteng has shut down three illegal taverns and demolished several illegal structures, during a by-law enforcement operation in Mamelodi.
The taverns were raided and shutdown Friday night due to non-compliance with the Citys by-law regulations, as well as for operating without liquor licenses.
Nine illegal structures were also destroyed after officers discovered that they were being used as hideouts for criminals.
