The City of Johannesburg Emergency Management Services is urging residents to exercise caution following a yellow level two warning issued by the South African Weather Services .
The thunderstorms may bring heavy rain and flash floods, especially in low-lying areas and places near rivers and streams.
Johannesburg EMS spokesperson, Robert Mulaudzi says they remain high alert and they urge all motorists, residents and church groups to stay away from flooded roads and river streams.
