The Communications Regulatory Authority INCM has launched the first phase of technical training for the inaugural group of ThinkLab incubators, marking a significant step in its national incubation project aimed at supporting startups and entrepreneurs in Mozambique. The initiative is designed to integrate emerging innovators into the country's communications ecosystem and strengthen their capacity to develop technology-driven solutions aligned with regulatory and market needs.

The training program opened with two sessions focused on digital innovation, regulatory frameworks, compliance, and the use of sector statistics for strategic planning.

The first session, held on Thursday, December 11, was delivered by Mohamed Ba, Senior Coordinator for Digital Innovation Ecosystems at the International Telecommunication Union ITU. Ba provided an overview of the role of incubators within the broader digital transformation and regulatory ecosystem. He also outlined global trends, key regulatory considerations, and critical success factors for sustaining early-stage technological initiatives.
