More cruise liners are now choosing Cape Town as a starting or ending point, encouraging longer stays from international travellers. While some locals may find the increased traffic from cruise arrivals frustrating, there's no denying the excitement generated when a massive vessel docks at the V A Waterfront.
Unlike traditional safari or wine tour vacations, cruise tourism places Cape Town at the heart of the experience, drawing attention even from those who never set foot on a ship.
