Lesedi FM is in turmoil after Nyakallo Ba2Cada Leine, its top-rated presenter, has been absent from the airwaves for over a month.
Leine, known for his charismatic style, was expected to co-host the Monate Breakfast Show on December 30, 2024, with Seipati Twasa Seoke.
However, when Seoke was on leave, Leine failed to show up to team up with Thabo Bundle of Joy Mokone, the stations afternoon drive presenter, leaving the latter to host solo.
' Ba2Cada was supposed to have been on duty on December 30 and 31 but he never showed up,' a source said. 'The station didnt even know he was absent until they heard Thabo doing the show alone.'
Leine, who had applied for leave from January 1 to 17, was expected back on January 20, but was met with resistance from Programme Manager Mannini Nyokong. 'Management was angry that Ba2Cada was AWOL during a critical time. He was told that if he thought he was bigger than the station, he should leave,' an insider revealed.
