"In order to continuously maintain quality service offerings to you, due to rising costs and broader economic factors, we have made adjustments to the pricing of some of our products and services," Telkom said in an update to customers.

"Effective from 1 June 2025, most mobile voice plans FreeMe, Telkom FlexOn and Telkom Infinite as well as legacy post-paid tariffs, roaming data plans Mobile Data and SmartInternet, as well as certain SmartBroadband and LTE subscription fees for the tariff plan will be increased.

The consumer price index CPI increases will average 5 percent across all mobile plans. However, individual percentages for the various plans may differ.

Contract customers can expect to see an increase on their June 2025 invoice.

"Keep in mind that monthly subscription rates are invoiced in advance, so for the period 1-30 June, the new subscription will be visible on the June 2025 invoice," the operator explained.

It clarified that the increases only apply to the subscription fee of the tariff plan. This means that all other recurring fees will remain unchanged, including device instalment fees and other value-added services VASs.

Telkom understands that price increases are never easy and wants to assure our customers that we have done everything possible to minimise the impact, the company added.

The countrys economic challenges and pressures, including rising inflation and other macroeconomic dynamics, have made it necessary for Telkom to adjust prices to maintain the high level of service our customers have come to expect.
