Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav rubbished concerns about the form of opener Abhishek Sharma, saying his players are ready to cover for the worlds highest-ranked batter in Twenty20 cricket until he regains his form.
Sharma, who has scored two centuries and eight fifties for India, is yet to score a run in the Twenty20 World Cup after getting out for a duck three times in the group stage, while missing one game due to a stomach infection.
I worry for the people who are worried about Abhisheks form, Suryakumar told reporters on Saturday, ahead of defending champions Indias Super Eight clash with last editions runners-up South Africa.
