Former uMkhonto weSizwe MK Party Secretary-General Floyd Shivambu says he was removed from his position based on claims that he was plotting to remove Jacob Zuma as the partys leader.
Earlier this month, MK Party said Shivambus March visit to Malawi, where he met alleged fugitive from South Africa Shepherd Bushiri, was the reason for his redeployment to Parliament .

The reason given in the National Officials meeting for my redeployment or removal as Secretary-General was that I want to overthrow Zuma as the President of MK Party, he claimed.
As part of that reason, an extremely bizarre and fake intelligence report was produced which was claimed to be a conversation between me and some people in the African continent where it is alleged that despite raising money to remove President Zuma, Im also accumulating supernatural powers to make people disappear.
We had to deal with superstitious issues as the basis of what happened. There was apparently a hand that I was going to be given to give to someone and some people were going to die so that I can become the President of MK Party.
He added that although he accepted his redeployment, another fake report was produced claiming he was going to use Parliament to take over the party.
The report claimed that Ive got money from Stellenbosch and we are going to take over the party through Parliament. That they are taking me closer to where we are going to take power, Shivambu said.
As a result, a decision was taken that even this thing of Parliament must not happen, and that in fact, I must be expelled from the organisation.
He claimed the political scoundrels surrounding Zuma are taking advantage of his kindness, sometimes gullibility that comes with age to influence him with fake intelligence reports.
