The Futuremakers Women in Tech FWIT programme, powered by Standard Chartered Ghana, has reached another milestone as its fifth cohort of participants successfully graduated. The event showcased powerful and innovative ideas developed by women entrepreneurs and technologists who are redefining the role of women in Africa's technology ecosystem.

As part of the celebration, five outstanding ventures were each awarded GHS125,500 in seed funding to help scale their solutions and expand their impact. The initiative, organised in partnership with Village Capital, Ghana Climate Innovation Centre GCIC, and Ashesi University, continues to nurture women-led start-ups that leverage technology to address real-world challenges.

The FWIT programme forms a key component of Standard Chartered's Futuremakers initiative, which focuses on promoting economic inclusion and empowering young people-particularly women-to succeed in the digital economy. Through mentorship, training, and access to finance, the programme equips participants with the tools to build sustainable businesses and drive innovation in their communities.
