Spain and Barcelona midfielder Aitana Bonmati has been discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment for viral meningitis, the Spanish football federation RFEF confirmed on Sunday.
The 26-year-old, a two-time Ballon dOr winner, missed Spain's 2-0 victory over Japan on Friday-the reigning world champions final warm-up fixture ahead of the Women's Euro 2025, which kicks off next week.
According to the RFEF, Bonmati is expected to rejoin the national squad in the coming days, though she is not expected to feature in the team's early group stage fixtures.
