Deputy Minister of Tourism Maggie Sotyu is encouraging young people to take advantage of the opportunities created by South Africas Presidency of the G20 Summit.
Sotyu was a keynote speaker at a G20 engagement event hosted by the Sol Plaatje University in Kimberley.
The Deputy Minister says even after South Africas hosting of world leaders in November, businesses in the tourism sector should remain sustainable.
We dont want to train tourism operators just us for being the G20 host as a country but we want them to be there even after G20.We want to deploy them to different tourism destinations where we will know that they will assists domestic and international guests in a way of giving them information, says Sotyu.
