The Special Investigating Unit SIU has been granted permission to expand its scope of investigations into alleged corruption by the National Lottery Commission NLC.
This is after President Cyril Ramaphosa signed an amendment of the NLC Proclamation, which significantly broadens the scope of the SIUs ongoing probe.
The proclamation amends the initial investigation of allegations of maladministration and corruption that began in 2020.
