The State Information Technology Agency SITA has confirmed that it has settled its municipal account with the City of Tshwane after services were temporarily suspended at its head office in Erasmuskloof.

The issue arose from a shortfall of R3.2 million, which SITA attributed to underestimated usage over the past three months. Following a review, SITA has since adjusted its average monthly consumption forecast to approximately R2.6 million to prevent future discrepancies.

SITA has taken full accountability for the situation and stated that it has implemented stronger monitoring and billing engagement processes to avoid a recurrence. While the suspension was temporary, the agency confirmed that its operations were not disrupted. It also reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and accountability with all public sector partners.
