Jannik Sinner claimed his first Paris Masters title on Sunday, defeating Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-4, 7-6 7/4, as the four-time Grand Slam champion reclaimed his position at the top of the world rankings.

Following his first crown in Paris and with the current world number one, Carlos Alcaraz, exiting the tournament early, Sinner will return to the top of mens tennis when the ATP rankings are released on Monday.

The 24-year-old initially reached the number one ranking in June of last year, maintaining it for 65 weeks until Alcaraz defeated him in the US Open finals in September.
