Former Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat set social media abuzz after his video singing and dancing at late SuperSport United star George Chigovas funeral. Chigova died on 15 November 2023, and confirmed reports have it that the star died from an alleged heart attack .

In the backdrop of his death, mourners have been gathered at his home in Gauteng, with his body set to be repatriated to Zimbabwe earlier this week for burial.

Several Zimbabwean celebrities and footballers have been at his residence since Wednesday last week. However, Khama Billiat was spotted in the mix over the weekend, leading mourners with heartfelt songs as they mourned Chigova.

Former SuperSport United star Evans Rusike, Tapiwa Kapini and Ronald Pfumbidzai also sang and backed Billiat. The video has gained thousands of comments and reactions since it dropped on the internet.

Many were impressed with the players gesture. This comes barely a few days after Billiat took to social media to express condolences to the family and friends of the late SuperSport United goalkeeper.

Despite being off the hook for months on social media, Khama Billiat took to Instagram to pen a heartfelt post to the late George Chigova, whom he starred with during his national team stint. Of interest is the fact that the two stars were both Aces Youth Academy talent.

CAREER

George Chigova had his youth career with Aces Youth Soccer Academy. Of interest is that while at Aces Academy, he starred alongside Knowledge Musona and Khama Billiat. In 2010, he joined Gunners before he made a money move to Harare giants Dynamos in 2012.

He joined SuperSport United in 2014 before joining Polokwane City in 2015. Five years later, he returned to SuperSport United.
