The community of the Kanana Informal Settlement in Gugulethu on the Cape Flats is reeling in shock following a mass shooting that has left seven men dead .
The shooting occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police say the victims, aged between 26 and 30, were socialising in the kitchen when they were ambushed by unknown assailants.
Authorities have expressed concern over the recent spate of mass killings on the Cape Flats.
A total of 13 people have been killed in separate incidents this past week.
