A fast response at Monwabisi Beach has drawn praise after Shark Spotters said its spotter, Siyamanga Mposi, stepped in during a near-drowning incident earlier this week, reports Cape town Etc .
The organisation said he responded quickly and stepped in as a first responder after assessing the scene, calling for help and administering first aid until emergency services arrived.
Shark Spotters added that Mposi used his First Aid and Advanced Trauma training during the emergency, while NSRI, Fire Services and Law Enforcement soon arrived on scene.
