Shafali Verma created history as she registered the highest score by an Indian in a Women's ODI World Cup final, showcasing her brilliance with the bat during the 2025 summit clash against South Africa at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Sunday.
Her exceptional knock not only powered India to a strong position but also highlighted her maturity and dominance on the grandest stage of women's cricket.
However, apart from that Shafali Verma also surpassed her previous highest individual score in ODIs, which was 71 not out, achieved during India's tour of Sri Lanka in 2022 marking her first half-century in the format since then.
