The Weather Service has issued a Yellow Level 4 warning for severe thunderstorms across Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, the Free State and parts of the North West today.
Heavy rain, strong winds, hail and lightning are expected to cause possible local flooding.
The Services, Lehlohonolo Thobela says people should expect dangerous storms and must stay alert.
