On the sidelines of the World Conference on Telecommunications Development CMDT-25 in Baku, Azerbaijan, the International Telecommunication Union ITU and Senegal's Telecommunications and Post Regulatory Authority ARTP signed a cooperation agreement aimed at fostering digital business ecosystems and supporting young women entrepreneurs in Senegal.

The agreement, signed by Dr. Cosmas Luckyson Zavazava, Director General of the ITU Development Bureau BDT, and ARTP Director General Dahirou Thiam, establishes a framework for collaboration on the project's first phase, which focuses on integrating young women into Senegal's digital commerce sector. Operational procedures and the distribution of responsibilities are outlined in a project document, which will take effect after internal approvals at ARTP.

Speaking on the agreement, Director General Thiam emphasized that ARTP acts as the project initiator, with the benefits intended for Senegalese women entrepreneurs. The initiative aims to strengthen their participation in digital trade through skill development, ecosystem support, and the creation of digital tools.
