A security guard has been killed and three others wounded in a shooting incident in Gugulethu on the Cape Flats. His body was found in a vehicle he was travelling in.
Police spokesperson, Wesley Twigg, says the suspects fled the scene with the security guards firearms.
Upon arrival on the scene, they found a security guard inside a GWM light delivery vehicle who sustained gunshot wounds to his body and three others who were wounded. The 45-year-old victim was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel, while the other victims were taken to a medical facility for treatment. According to reports, the victims were approached by unknown assailants who shot them. The suspects fled the scene with the victims service firearms. Gugulethu detectives are investigating murder and attempted murder cases, says Twigg.
