The South African Weather Service SAWS has warned of an approaching cold front which will be accompanied by wet and windy conditions and expected to affect large parts of the country from Friday until Monday.
This will result in a significant drop in temperatures as the system moves eastward.
Coastal regions are likely to experience rough seas with wave heights of up to five metres, while inland areas may face localised flooding and hazardous travel conditions.
