The upcoming Italian Super Cup will once again take place in Saudi Arabia, marking the fourth occasion the country has hosted the event, but this time the tournament will be held in December rather than January, the president of Lega Serie A confirmed on Tuesday.
Serie A chief Ezio Simonelli revealed that the semi-finals are scheduled for December 18 and 19, with the final to follow on December 22.
"We haven't finalised the venue yet-it will be either Riyadh or Jeddah. The decision lies with the Saudi organisers," Simonelli said. "I'd prefer Jeddah, but its not up to us."
Since 2023, the Supercoppa Italiana has featured four clubs: the Serie A champions and runners-up, along with the Italian Cup winners and runners-up.
This year's competition will include Serie A titleholders Napoli, runners-up Inter Milan, Coppa Italia winners Bologna, and finalists AC Milan.
